Scotland: The New Wild is back
Don’t miss: Sunday 6th October 2024 at 8pm on BBC2: Scotland: The New Wild
This programme takes a look at the fantastic natural wonders in Scotland – and wow, the first episode focuses on the islands off its coast. There are nearly 800 islands, including the Monach Islands where over 10,000 pups are born, and wonderful puffins, nesting at the Shiants.
Each of the three programmes in this new series focuses on a specific region. The Highlands and Lowlands are next.
One of the things the programme does is to show the terrible impact of human behaviour, as tourists heading to quite spots are becoming a bigger problem.
Some of the charities working to help Scotland’s wildlife include the following - please visit their websites and see how you can help them. Thank you!
